ABOUT

DREAM CATCHER is a song and teaser from the film HIDDEN MEDICINE. Shot in Onondaga Nation Territory, in one of the last remaining virgin forests, DREAM CATCHER, calls on the ancestors to protect us.

HIDDEN MEDICINE premiered at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival and broadcast on Sundance TV with a call to action to support Native Peoples Sacred Sites, the Act to Save America’s Forests, and the National Forest Protection and Restoration Act.

Written and performed by Robby Romero, DREAM CATCHER was recorded at Shelter Island Sound in New York City and produced and mixed by Grammy-winner Steve Addabbo (Bob Dylan, Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin). The Red Thunder lineup includes musicians Clayson Benally, Klee Benally, Jeneda Benally, Robert Tree Cody, and Grammy-winner Lisa Fisher, with a special appearance by Jones Benally (Dené Spiritual Leader). 

Produced by Roland Joffé (The Killing Fields, The Mission, Fat Man And Little Boy) and Directed by Robby Romero, DREAM CATCHER was filmed in Onondaga Nation Territory and produced in association with the Onondaga Nation, Lightmotive, and Eagle Thunder Pictures.

Good Works – SAVING THE FORESTS Portions of the profits from the sale of an album soundtrack to the film “Hidden Medicine,” scored by Robby Romero and performed by Red Thunder, will be donated to the Native Children’s Survival Awareness Campaign for the protection of America’s forests. “Hidden Medicine” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is being aired on the Sundance Channel as part of the “Best of the Sundance Film Festival” series.
