UNITED NATIONS DECLARATION ON THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES
ALL OUR COLORS was released in celebration of the historical adoption of the United Nations’ "Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples". Prefaced by Tonya Gonnella Frichner, Robby Romero performed ALL OUR COLORS live during the Seventh Session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues Cultural Event at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
ALL OUR COLORS was written by Robby Romero and produced by Grammy Award winner Steve Addabbo — featuring Indigenous artists from seven regions of the world. The single is available on the eco-pac EP/CD PAINTING THE WORLD.
The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) was adopted by the General Assembly on Thursday, 13 September 2007, by a majority of 144 states in favour, 4 votes against (Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States) and 11 abstentions (Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burundi, Colombia, Georgia, Kenya, Nigeria, Russian Federation, Samoa and Ukraine). UNRDIP underwent the longest period of debate and negotiation than any other human rights instrument.
