Rooted in Indigenous culture, Dakhóta Romero’s LA LLORONA and LA LLORONA - REMASTERIZADO (English: Weeping Woman - Remastered) celebrates the Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos). The single premiered on KXMT 99.1 FM in Northern New Mexico on 11 June 2012. The music picture premiered on the Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) when those who have passed are remembered and honored. LA LLORONA went viral with more than 799,000 views on our youtube channel.
The single and music picture, produced and directed by Robby Romero, was mixed by Grammy-winner Steve Addabbo (Bob Dylan, Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin), remastered by Grammy-winner Rob Fraboni (Bob Marley, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton), and available at our Village Market.
