SOS OCEANS!

@NOAA

From March 30th to 31st, 2025, Ta’Kaiya Blaney, Native Children’s Survival Youth Ambassador and Director of Programs, and Delaney Blaney, Vice-Chairperson of Native Children’s Survival, will attend a high-level gathering hosted by President Emmanuel Macron of France. Organized in collaboration with the Oceano Azul Foundation, this event will convene global leaders, policymakers, and scientists to address pressing ocean challenges and facilitate the preparations for the third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) 9-13 June 2025 in Nice.

The Conference will bring together diverse stakeholders to assess challenges and opportunities related to implementing the United Nations SDG Goal 14.

The forthcoming Conference will draw upon the legacy of the preceding UN Ocean Conferences, which were held in 2017 in New York and 2022 in Lisbon. These conferences, hosted by Sweden and Fiji in 2017 and Portugal and Kenya in 2022, respectively, established the groundwork for the ongoing endeavors to address and protect our oceans.
